Alpha Delta Kappa - Zeta Chapter - Nancy Brock

Alpha Delta Kappa - Zeta Chapter - Nancy Brock

Nancy was born in Burbank, attended the University of Redlands, and taught for three years in her home town. Then at the suggestion of a friend, she moved to Burlingame in 1961 where she had an exemplary 35 year career, teaching all the elementary grades, acquiring her Library Services Credential, and retiring as a librarian.

Nancy’s association with Zeta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is only a decade long, but her membership with ADK goes back an impressive five decades! In 1971 she was encouraged to join a new ADK chapter, Beta Rho. She enjoyed the camaraderie and was an invaluable member of the chapter. During her 39 years of membership, she was co-president, treasurer, served on several committees, and was an integral part of Beta Rho’s fundraising efforts.

When Nancy moved back south to Torrance in 2010, she showed her dedication to ADK and its mission by transferring to Zeta Chapter of ADK. In the past 11 years, she has graciously served on committees and helped with fundraising for Zeta’s Scholarship Tea.

To recognize her 50 years of membership and distinguished service to Alpha Delta Kappa, Zeta chapter with donations from Beta Rho, awards this scholarship in honor of “Golden Sister” Nancy’s Brock.

The College of Education (CED) expresses gratitude to all scholarship donors who continue to enhance the quality of education students experience at CSULB.
