John C. Battey Endowed Scholarship

John C. Battey established this scholarship as part of his estate plan to support scholarships for students who wish to become teachers. Students must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the scholarship:

Criteria

• Demonstrates financial need;
• Is a sophomore, junior or senior who has maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better;
• Candidate wants to become a teacher, and has demonstrated that he or she has sought advising from a college-based or College of Education credential advisor when constructing his or her academic plan.
