Linna Young Memorial Scholarship 

Linna Young earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UCLA. She began teaching in 1936 for the Los Angeles Unified School District and retired as a principal for the district in 1981. She grew up in Long Beach and after marriage continued to make her home in the area. Because of her dedication in the field of education, the Western Shores Chapter of the DAR, feel that supporting a grant in her memory would be appropriate.

Criteria:

• Post-Bacc Credential student in the College of Education
• Must demonstrate financial need
