Physics and Astronomy Department Scholarship

General Application for all Physics and Astronomy Department scholarships.

Application submitted to this opportunity will be used in consideration for the following Physics and Astronomy Department Scholarships:

• Irene Howard and Keung Luke Endowed Scholarship
• John E. Fredrickson Endowed Scholarship
• Keung Luke, Charles Roberts and Richard Whiteley Endowed Scholarship
• Kevin Kwok Chan, HK Alumni, Keung Luke Endowed Scholarship
• Olaf and Mary Jane Anfinson Endowed Scholarship
• Physics and Astronomy Department Scholarship
• The John and Terry Milligan Scholarship in Physics
• The Richard and Florence Scalettar Scholarship

Minimum Criteria:

• Physics Major
• Graduate or Undergraduate continuing student
• Demonstrated strong potential for study in Physics
• Participated in the intellectual life of the department
• Priority will be given to the applicant who plans to engage in research with the department faculty during the upcoming summer and fall
• Strong record of achievement in academic laboratory/theoretical work with faculty
• MS students graduating in the upcoming summer are not eligible to apply

Additional Scholarships Information for OPTIONAL for SUMMER RESEARCH submissions:

• The selected student must be available to participate in 8 weeks of faculty-mentored research during the summer
• All recipients are required to present their research at the CNSM Student Research Symposium and/or at a scientific meeting such as the annual APS Far West Section meeting
