Port of Long Beach Environmental Science Scholarship
The Port of Long Beach is the premier U.S. gateway for trans-Pacific trade and a trailblazer in innovative goods movement, safety, environmental stewardship and sustainability. As the second-busiest container seaport in the United States, the Port handles trade valued at more than $194 billion annually and supports 2.6 million trade-related jobs across the nation, more than 575,000 in Southern California.
Given the Port’s commitment to education and community outreach, the Port has graciously funded three $2,500 scholarship students currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy.
Criteria:
- Environmental Science & Policy Major, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must not be an employee or intern at the Port of Long Beach or have an immediate family member who works at the Port of Long Beach
