Rotary Club of Long Beach, Bill Slaughter Scholarship: Nursing and Health Related
Funded by the estate of Bill Slaughter, this scholarship was created in memory of his father, Theron H. Slaughter, M.D., the former Chief of Staff at Long Beach Community Hospital. The requirement of the award is to support CSULB students participating in clinical work at a Long Beach area hospital.
Criteria:
- Must be a full-time student as deemed by CSULB majoring in a health related field of study;
- Must be currently participating in clinical work, planning to participate in clinical work in the next academic year or already completed your clinical work at a Long Beach hospital;
- Must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA;
- Must be enrolled at CSULB for the following fall semester;
- Must not be a current recipient of a Long Beach Rotary Traditional or Centennial scholarship.
Additional Information:
- This scholarship is renewable for up to four (4) semesters provided the recipient maintains scholarship eligibility.
