The Wayne Scott Family Scholarship

Dr. James Scott and his siblings have established an endowed scholarship in memory of their father, Kenneth “Wayne” Scott, an elementary school principal.

In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must be either currently enrolled in or applying to the elementary/secondary Ed.D. program, committed to working with historically marginalized students in urban communities, and also must currently work in Education.

Criteria:

  • Enrolled or applicant in the Elementary/Secondary Leadership EdD or EdD Summer Early Entrant P-12 Doctoral Program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Committed to working with historically marginalized students in urban communities
  • Currently employed in an educational setting
