David R. Avery Endowed Award
The David R. Avery Endowed Award was created to help students with financial need in the College of Engineering as they work toward their undergraduate degrees. The scholarship is founded by the family of David R. Avery to honor his legacy and the high value he placed on education. David R. Avery, a CSULB alum, had an esteemed career in the aerospace industry marked by his contributions to the Apollo mission. In addition, he impacted generation as an instructor at DeVry University. Awards are designed to support all educationally related expenses for a CSULB student completing their educational pursuits.
Criteria:
- Undergraduate students;
- Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering;
- Cumulative GPA minimum 3.0;
- Enrolled full-time in 12 units or more;
- Must be a Junior or Senior. (If Senior at the time of application, students must have at least one semester remaining before degree completion);.
- Must be a U.S. citizen;
- Must be a Veteran of the armed forces.
