Fleet Reserve Association Branch 43 Endowed Scholarship

“This scholarship was created in 2003 with the CSULB 49er Foundation to support students who served in the U.S. military or are a dependent of a U.S. serviceperson.

Criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen;
  • Must have served in the United States military or be the dependent of a United States active or retired military personnel;
  • Must provide DD-214 (proof of military service) or other official document confirming student is a son or daughter of active or retired military personnel;
  • Must have a letter of recommendation;
  • Must provide an essay that describes applicant’s military experience and what it has meant to be in service in the US military or what it has meant to be part of a military family;
  • Must provide letter of acknowledgement to the Fleet Reserve Association before the scholarship is to be disbursed;
  • Must attend at least one meeting of Branch 43 during the academic year for which the award is received"
