Catalyst for Change Endowed Scholarship
The Cal State Long Beach Catalyst for Change Scholarship was created in memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Ron Settles, and countless other Black men and women that have suffered or died as a result of police brutality. Sponsored by the CSULB community and The Brotman-Skoff Family, longtime supporters of math and science scholarships at CSULB. The scholarship was designed to support CSULB students who serve as catalysts for change through social justice.
Criteria:
- Cal State Long Beach enrolled student;
- Minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA;
- Financial need may be considered;
- Must show evidence of social justice work supporting the black community;
- Must have active membership within the past two years with the CSULB Black Student Union, CSULB Recognized Black Organizations and/or National Pan-Hellenic Council:
