William J. Bubala

William was born on October 2, 1941 in East Chicago, IL and passed away on October 29, 2005 in Long Beach. He started his 30 year teaching career at St. Pancratius and retired as a special education teacher from the LA Unified School District. He was known as “Mr. B” to many of his treasured students, and as “Uncle Billy” to his family.

This scholarship was created by Dr. Annabelle Sartore in honor of William J. Bubala. The scholarship is awarded to students in the Education Specialist credential program or the Master of Science in Special Education Program.
