Steve and Nancy Yoho
The Yoho family is a true Beach family. Steve ’82 and Nancy ’81 graduated with degrees in Finance and Geography respectively. Their children, Dan ’08 and Alison ’13 and ’16 both earned their degrees in Geography. Additionally, Alison earned an MS in GIS. Steve has worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years and is currently a Financial Manager for Northrop Grumman. Nancy is retired Vice President of GIS at Thomas Bros. Maps and Rand McNally. She currently works as the Associate Director of the Long Beach City College Foundation. Dan is a GIS analyst at the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency in Virginia and Alison is a GIS analyst for Southern California Edison. Steve and Nancy continue to be involved at CSULB. Steve serves as a mentor for CBA students and is on the board of the SCPD. Nancy was recognized as a Distinguished Alumna for the College of Liberal Arts in 2005 and has served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2006. They enjoy attending Long Beach State volleyball, basketball and baseball games, and Concerts at the Beach. With a strong desire to give back, the family established the Yoho Family Student Award in 2016 to recognize and assist Geography students.
Impact
The Yoho Family Endowment provides an annual scholarship to students majoring in Geography.
