Shonnardo Bodie
Shonnardo Bodie’s (“Bodie”) aspiration was to receive his master’s degree in counseling and student development from the SDHE Program at CSULB. Bodie was a first generation, immigrant, low income student who excelled as a community college student benefitting from many special programs. After graduating from Mt. San Antonio College, Bodie transferred to Baker University, graduated, was an All American in track and returned to Southern California to establish a career and for graduate studies. His life was abruptly cut short and although he was not able to realize his dream, this scholarship will enable others with similar backgrounds to Bodie to realize their aspirations to work within higher education addressing the needs of underserved students.
The College of Education (CED) expresses gratitude to all scholarship donors who continue to enhance the quality of education students experience at CSULB.
