Ruben Ingram is currently the Executive Director of School Employers Association of California (SEAC). Formerly the Executive Director of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Superintendent, Fountain Valley School District. He holds a BA from CSULB (1955) and a Masters and Doctorate from USC. Marjorie Ingram is a retired Vice-President, Saddleback Hospital. She held executive positions in marketing, human resources, and labor relations for several companies and a school district. She holds a BS from University of California, Riverside.

Ruben and Marj are members of the CSULB Legacy Society. Ruben is a member of the College of Education Dean’s Advisory Committee. As a former Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team, he also supports Long Beach State Baseball as a contributor to the John McConnell Baseball Scholarship.

Ruben and Marj Ingram give to CSULB because of their appreciation for the education they both received through the California State University and the University of California systems enabling them to pursue careers and give service to many people throughout California, the nation, and internationally.

The College of Education (CED) expresses gratitude to all scholarship donors who continue to enhance the quality of education students experience at CSULB.

Impact

The Ruben and Marjorie Ingram Endowed Scholarship was created in 2013 to support working professionals in public or private school administration in California who are motivated to advancing their careers and service in leadership positions in our schools. The scholarship is awarded to mid-career professionals who are currently working as public or private school administrators and are seeking to advance in school administration through obtaining a Master’s and/or Doctoral Degree at CSULB.
