Mrs. Juthika Mehta

Mrs. Juthika Mehta

Mrs. Juthika Mehta was a beloved wife and mother. Her life was filled with the joys of family, cooking, and music – she was a talented sitar player. The family immigrated to the U.S. in pursuit of a better life for their children. Mr. and Mrs. Mehta valued higher education and encouraged their children to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees. They were proud to see each of their children accomplish their educational goals and earn their advanced degrees.

Mrs. Mehta developed an elusive and rare form of an autoimmune disorder in 2022. As her illness progressed, she was hospitalized and cared for by a team of nurses, doctors, and specialists. Unfortunately, she lost her battle a month after being admitted. However, during this period, she received exceptional care from the nursing staff at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

In memory of Mrs. Juthika Mehta, the family has created this scholarship to help students aspiring to enter the nursing profession. Juthika would be delighted to know that her family is assisting students in fulfilling their goals of becoming nurses and helping patients.
